The gigantic Library bookshelf system is finished!!
I wrote the 1st post on the ” The gigantic Library bookshelf system” on June 24th, here it is Nov 23rd . The owners have had the patience of Job throughout the entire ordeal. Anyone who has had remodeling done that requires strangers in your home for a period of time can relate. The corner computer media station ties the entire book shelf system together . I worried about this part of the design for a long time. I had the idea in my head, but wasn’t sure of the finished look. I am going to have to get better with goggle ” Sketch Up” , to be able to visualize projects before building them. That would really help.
The original room had carpet and white IKEA type book shelves when I started. My son and his father in Law, Ron, installed new hardwood flooring. Great job Guys!!! Ron also helped me install the corner tower in the top of the computer station. Its not a one man job. A series of colored 16 ft diode light strings run through the top behind the crown molding of the entire system. The lighting gives off a nice ambiance especially in the evening hours.
