Here it is, my version of a victorian quilt case. The case holds four quilts. The slant is steep enough to see a good amount of each quilt when standing in front.
I have a page devoted to quilt cases and wall and floor display woodworking that will grow as time goes by:
Wow that’s beautiful uncle Mark!
That is the most beautiful quilt case I have ever seen! A true work of craftsmanship! That sweatshirt speaks well of your tastes right there! Merry Christmas to you and your precious family! God Bless!
what are the dimensions of this piece?
I hope the glass is special glass that will protect the Quilts from harmful U.V. rays which will fade and wash out the colors, keep them out of the sun esspecially if there antiques, also put tissue paper over the rollers to keep the rollers from staining your quilts.
Hi Mark,
Thanks for the input. Just regular double strength glass in all the cases I have made. Never seen one with UV glass installed. The Victorian rollers don’t have any stain on them at all for I read the same thing you are talking about somewhere else. the other ones I made sure they were sealed well with several clear coats. Have not heard any complaints from my customers yet.

Didn’t have plans per say. Just built it on the fly. I know the bracket feet are about 5.5″ high.
If I remember correctly the case from floor to top pediment is about 54″ The case itself is at least 24″ deep and about that wide.
I assembled the case with lock miter bit
(http://www.mlcswoodworking.com/shopsite_sc/store/html/smarthtml/pages/katana_bits9.htm#kat_lock_mitre_anchor) .
The sides are mortise and tenon joined, as is the top lid.
Thanks for your interest!!!

Hi
I’m interested the Victorian quilt case.
Can you give me a price
Your work is gorgeous
Thanks for your interest, not building at this time though.
Quilt. Cases are anywhere from 1000 to 1500 when I am building.
Would it be possible to get this unfinished just plain but enclosed? If so can I get a price, please?
We saw some very similar to this when we were in Kentucky at a doll show years ago.
Sorry not building at this time. When I start again , only finished pieces shown will be available.
Thanks for your interest.
