I have had a few days off. This has given me time to get my shop organized and get a lathe I bought months ago setup on the back wall. My friend Dean who passed away recently, gave me a fun little gizmo called a router crafter. This thing was sold at Sears in the 70’s. It is basically an indexing device that makes fluting fairly easy. Got some cheap pine 4*4s to practice on. Kinda had to teach myself how to use it since it didn’t come with instructions. Well I am excited, because my wife has wanted me to redo our fireplace downstairs with Victorian columns and carving and such. I wanted to make everything myself. So with a bit of turning practice, maybe I can fulfill her dream. Happy New Year everyone!!!
Man- Lathes sure do make a lot of dust.
