I have finally found some time to work on the quilt case. All the inside framing for the glass is done and the dowels to hang the quilts are in place. Tomorrow I start finish sanding then stain /clear coats/ wax and glass installation. Might be done in about a week. I chose to build a frame for the glass instead of dado cuts on the inside. If I used dado cuts the sides become about 3/8″ of an inch thick where the glass is. It made me a bit uncomfortable. By building the glass frame in this manner, the whole piece is stronger. Its supports the glass, and also produces a stronger frame for the case as a whole.
